The alpha (testing) version of the Couchers platform is up and ready for more people to join. When you sign up for the alpha, you’ll get to see the beginnings of the Couchers platform and give your own insight and suggestions on things to improve.
After creating an account, you’ll be able to fill out your profile bio and see the layout of the platform. Fair warning though, there will be bugs. Not the pesky mosquito bite kind but more on the technical side. Things not fully functional or built out yet.
That’s where you come in. Create an account, sign in, and cruise around the platform. Click through different menus, check out the cool map we have set up with all the different countries Couchers members are in.
Let us know what you think and give suggestions if you have some.
What Was Your Greatest Couch-Surfing Experience?
As we continue to work toward launching Couchers, we enjoy hearing the various experiences everyone has had through couch-surfing. The new places, spots, and people you meet and discover.
Over on the forum, community members shared the greatest and most interesting experiences they have had from couch-surfing. For a lot of people, this year involved staying put where you were. No traveling to speak of. As the world continues to open up more, new adventures are being planned. It allows for us to reflect on the past experiences we’ve had while traveling.
Once in a lifetime experiences, new spots discovered, and interesting people met along the way. Things that couldn’t be planned out or located within a guidebook.

What’s Your Greatest Couch-Surfing Experience?
Video Hangouts
Join us for one of the weekly online video hangouts. You can meet and chat with each other and get to know the Couchers community! Talk about couch-surfing, give input on ways to make the platform the most comprehensive it can be, and get answers to questions you may have about Couchers.org
One of the main discussions in a previous weekly online event was if we should have a community chat or messaging feature. Figuring out the level of it, whether it be at city, state/province, region, or country level. This could allow for community members to connect in a different way.
The date and time for the online events are chosen based on the response of community members. Check out the forum for the latest information. There you can see, and suggest, types of events—from discussions to games—and get in on the hangout!

Graphic Designers: To design marketing and outreach collaterals.
